Fall in Full Force

Fall in Full Force

By: Leigh Tidwell

Fall has arrived in full force even if our North Texas temperatures don’t reflect that!  The State Fair of Texas is days away from opening, high school football is in full swing, and we’re just a little than a month away from a new DFW NACE Board.  Our October meeting is when we vote on the incoming candidates so I challenge each of you to get to know your candidates and join us that evening to cast your vote.  This is your opportunity to make a difference in the leadership and direction of our chapter.

For those of you who joined and supported us, THANK YOU!!!  Chords for a Cause was a resounding success this year.  Special thanks to Jacqueline Hill and her Fundraising committee that worked all year to produce this event at The Bomb Factory.  It was a memorable evening and so much fun to see members that I haven’t seen in awhile, really kick back and dig deep to support the Make A Wish Foundation of North Texas.

We also celebrated our new members this month in a New Member Happy Hour graciously hosted by Cloud9 and Wolfgang Puck.  The intimate setting and delicious bites were the perfect ice breakers and it was great to mingle and connect with our newer members.  If you see one of them at the next meeting, introduce yourself!  It’s a great way to network and welcome them to the DFW NACE Chapter.

This year has flown by, and it’s hard to believe we’re in the last three months of 2016.  So many exciting things have happened in the Chapter this year and it’s a privilege to have a front row seat to all of the talent and hard work that goes into producing the programs, arranging the community service projects, and serving our community.  Our membership is growing and getting connected!  I continue to encourage you to be actively involved on committee – wherever you feel you can best connect!  See you October 5th at the Sheraton Dallas.
