National Association for Catering and Events

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the DFW Chapter of NACE.  Becoming a member of our chapter of this national organization entails selecting the national membership that suits you best and selecting DFW NACE as your chapter of choice.  Additional local chapter memberships are available for an additional $50.

Membership Types

NACE offers a variety of membership types appropriate for your expectations and level of experience.
All NACE memberships are individual and held specifically in the name of the member.
Memberships are inclusive of a national membership and one local chapter membership.
Additional local chapter memberships are available at $50 each.
If no chapter exists near the member, the chapter will be assigned “At-large.”

Professional Membership

Available to individuals that are employed in the catering, event or hospitality industries. This membership is also available to professors and teachers of accredited, college level courses relating to the catering, special events and hospitality industries. Professional members may vote in chapter and NACE national elections, hold any office in which they meet the required criteria and serve on committees.

  • First Year: $395 (Includes a One Time $50 Initiation Fee)
  • Annual Renewal: $345
  • Additional Chapter Memberships: $50

Corporate Membership

Available to the same audience and carries the same benefits as the Professional Membership; however, Corporate Membership provides a discount for multiple members of the same organization. (Note: The company must maintain at least two members at all times.)

  • Primary Member Annual Dues: $395
  • Additional Members: $260
  • Additional Chapter Memberships: $50

Non-Profit Membership

Available to full-time employees of non-profit organizations.  Proof of non-profit status is required with the application. The individual must be full-time employee of a 501(c)3, 4, 5 or 6 organization.  Volunteers, committee members and board members of non-profit organizations are not eligible.  (Note: 501(c)7 NOT eligible.)

  • First Year: $295
  • Annual Renewal: $295
  • Additional Chapter Memberships: $50

Young Professional Membership

Available to any individual under the age of 30 that is employed in the catering, event or hospitality industries or by one of its suppliers. They may vote in chapter elections, may hold any office for which they are eligible, and serve on committees. (Note: Proof of age must be provided in order to receive this rate.)

  • First Year: $195
  • Annual Renewal: $195
  • Additional Chapter Memberships: $50

Legacy Membership

Available to long standing, dedicated NACE members that have been a member for 15 years as reward and recognition for years of membership and dedication to the industry. They may vote in chapter elections, may hold any office for which they are eligible, and serve on committees. Please email membership@nace.net to apply. (Note: Must be a current member in good standing, have been a member for at least 15 years, and be 60 years old or older with proof of age.)

  • First Year: $195
  • Annual Renewal: $195
  • Additional Chapter Memberships: $50

Student Membership

Available to individuals enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university hospitality undergraduate or graduate program. Student members may serve on committees, but they may not vote, hold office, or serve on the Board of Directors. (Note: Students must be taking at least 12 credits currently at an accredited college or university, hospitality program and attach proof of full-time status with application. This membership is available for no more than five (5) years in an undergraduate academic program and no more than three (3) in a graduate program, as long as the member provides annual proof of the full-time enrollment qualification.)

  • Additional Chapter Memberships: $50

Policies

Replacement Membership

NACE membership belongs to whomever pays the membership dues. If a membership is paid by a company, the company may choose to transfer the membership from one employee to another. The employee who is replaced is considered to be a transitional member (details below) and the new member will take over the membership, including the paid through date.  To request a replacement, please download, complete and return the Membership Replacement Form.

Transitional Membership

Transitional members will retain membership benefits for 90 days after a company requests to transfer benefits, at no charge. Membership must be renewed within the 90 day grace period in order to maintain membership without having to reapply. In order to renew your membership, LOG IN and click My Invoices.
