President’s Letter January 2017

President’s Letter January 2017

Happy 2017! This is gearing up to be the year of change!! I hope you were able join us at the January meeting at the beautiful Tower Club. If were there, you know that we are experiencing change in our chapter right now. Dionicia McCallum, CWP, our First Vice President, has accepted a new position which unfortunately, is taking her to a new state! We are deeply saddened to see her go, but are thrilled that she is living her dream. She will still be with us for a few more meetings, so take this opportunity to say goodbye and thank her for her dedication and service to our Chapter. Dionicia, you will be missed.

This departure means that we are in need of a new Second Vice President. Don Mamone will be moving up to take on Di’s leadership role and we will be holding an election at the February Awards meeting to elect a Second Vice President to the board. I hope that you all will be at the meeting to cast your vote. We have a lot of talented people within our chapter who would make a fantastic addition to the Board of Directors. I look forward to seeing all of you.

Finally, getting involved is the best way to make the most of your membership! This year there are even more ways to get plugged in! NACE Experience will be held in Houston this year and they are looking for anyone and everyone who would like to make a difference and work on their team. If you are interested, please contact Clara Hough at Clara@HouseofHough.com.

Stay warm and can’t wait to see you all at the Awards Meeting on February 8, 2017!
